Summer Sessions are Open for Registration!
You and your child will create a deeper connection to nature as we learn songs, animal facts, and offer creative play invitations that encourage children to problem-solve, use teamwork, and think creatively. Classes include creative movement, sensory exploration, and process art, all using naturally sourced materials.
This Spring, our lessons guide kids on a journey to discover CREATIVITY - Creativity is the ability to imagine your own ideas or solutions to a problem—and then make them happen! This spring, we’ll focus on developing creative mindsets and strategies that littles can use throughout their lives to invent new things, solve problems, express their ideas and feelings, and nurture relationships. And we’ll do it all through enriching, outdoor play!
We like to talk about creativity as broken down into three core processes: breaking, bending and blending. We use these in our thinking when we come up with new ideas and problem solve, and we use them in our physical play when we create, as well! Some featured play invitations will include water play, mud play, weaving, imaginative play/divergent thinking, painting, clay creations, and music-making.
Our senses are central to how we experience the world, how we behave, and how we learn. This Summer, in our 4-week mini sessions, our curriculum is designed to help each child strengthen and balance their senses in the most stimulating and soothing classroom of all—the great outdoors. Our weekly lessons activate the senses of sight, sound, smell, and touch, and include 4 of our all-time favorite play invitations: mud play, water play, painting and music-making. Come and join in our SENSE-sational summer of fun!
